When I say "stack chairs," do you think of the plain, plastic chairs with the hard, uncomfortable seats? If you said yes, you are not alone. The good news is that stack seating has come a long way. Now there are upholstered chairs, big and tall chairs, contemporary chairs, chairs with lumbar supports and chairs with contoured seats. You can get traditional styling, sleek contemporary styling or even what I call "industrial" styling. So you can have not only comfortable, affordable seating but also make a statement with style!
If you like a traditional look and want the comfort of an upholstered chair, try the Alera Continental Series Stacking Chairs. This chair has a padded waterfall seat and contour back for comfort and can support up to 250 lbs. It can stack up to 12 high when not in use.
If you like a more contemporary look, try the Bosk Stack Chair. This chair has a contemporary flair and comes in three colors - Beech, Cherry or Espresso - with a chrome frame. It can stack up to 8 high. It comes with a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty and is a perfect chair for cafe areas.
For a more formal look, perhaps for a banquet hall, large conference meeting room, hotel or training area, consider the Iceberg Banquet Chairs. Although when you look at it, it may seem like it is exactly the plain hard plastic ones I was commenting about at the start of this blog, it is actually contoured in both the back and the seat for comfort and it's a generous size. Optional ganging connectors are available that allow you to connect up to 4 chairs together. It's a budget-friendly option, can stack up to 15 high and store in a limited space.
The last one I'll offer you today is the HON Olson Stacking Chair. This chair has a built-in handle to make it easy to transport them from one place to another and it's solid steel rod frame makes it both sturdy and light for easy handling. The sculpted shape also provides lumbar support. Like the Safco, it has optional ganging glides available for purchase so you can connect the chairs in groups.
